The African American Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Association's membership is diverse. Included in the Association are veterans, military dependents, counselors, nurses, psychiatrists, psychologists, researchers, social workers, administrators, advocates and others with an interest in the study and the treatment of post traumatic stress disorders, traumatic brain injuries and veterans issues. It should be noted that the information provided here referencing what PTSD and TBI is, the effects of the impingement on family members and why there is a need for so many veteran's groups apply not only to Ethnic Minorities but to veterans of all cultures.
